About
SketchMason is a design tool built for people who want to turn ideas into visuals without needing advanced technical skills. Whether you're a startup founder, small business owner, or creative professional, SketchMason simplifies the design process by providing an intuitive interface that makes creating layouts, mockups, and visual concepts straightforward and fast. The platform helps teams communicate ideas more clearly by turning rough concepts into polished sketches and designs. This matters because good visual communication saves time in development cycles, improves collaboration between team members, and helps stakeholders understand direction faster than words alone. SketchMason bridges the gap between simple drawing tools and complex design software, making it accessible to people without formal design training while remaining useful for experienced designers. It's designed for anyone who needs to visualize ideas quickly, from product teams refining concepts to entrepreneurs pitching to investors. The goal is to remove friction from the creative process and let your ideas flow naturally into reality.

FAQ
Do I need to be able to draw?
No. Boxes are enough. Writing a word or two inside them helps a great deal, though. A labelled rectangle is an instruction, an unlabelled one is a guess.
What counts as a credit?
One generation. A style guide, a screen, a page in a flow, or a revision from the chat is one credit each. Drawing, moving, resizing and everything else on the canvas is free.
Where does the design system come from?
Your mood board. We read the images for palette and typographic feel, then produce every design token bound to a role, with contrast checked on the pairings that decide legibility.
Can I use my own reference images?
Yes, up to six per project. They steer palette, density and type personality. They are never copied into the design itself. Your sketch still decides the layout.
What comes out at the end?
A design on the canvas you can move, resize, revise and grow into a flow. It is built from your own design system, so every screen you generate afterwards still matches.
What is SketchMason?
SketchMason, or Mason for short, is an AI design tool that turns a hand-drawn interface sketch into a finished UI design. You draw a rough frame on a canvas, describe what belongs inside it, and SketchMason generates the screen, built on a design system so the next screen matches it.
How does the sketch become a design?
You block out a screen with rectangles on an infinite canvas and label them. A labelled rectangle is an instruction, so the labels are what the layout is generated from. SketchMason builds the screen against a design system, and the finished design can be exported as HTML.
Do I need to draw well?
No. Boxes are enough. Writing a word or two inside them helps a great deal, though. A labelled rectangle is an instruction, an unlabelled one is a guess.
Do I need an account to try it?
Yes, and it is free to start. A new account comes with two generations and asks for no card. Sign-up takes an email address and a password, and everything you draw is kept on the account.
Can I use my own Anthropic API key?
Yes. A key you paste into the canvas is held in the browser tab only, sent with the generation request, and gone when the tab closes. SketchMason never stores it.
