NOW

About

You write (or, with NOW Plus, dictate) everything on your mind, and NOW separates the tasks and reads timing cues like 'tomorrow at 10' or 'every Monday.' It puts the most important task at the top with the reason it comes first, and the rest waits below. Starting a task opens a focus mode that shows only that task and a countdown ring, and when you finish, NOW proposes the next one. Reminders still fire when the app is closed, and you can import from Apple Reminders or Google Tasks.

Key Features

  • Splits a messy brain dump into separate tasks with dates and times
  • Shows one top-priority task at a time, with the reason it comes first
  • Runs a focus mode with a countdown ring and Done or Pause controls
  • Puts the current task on the home screen with widgets, including Dynamic Island
  • Imports tasks from Apple Reminders, Google Tasks, or pasted lists
  • Syncs tasks across iPhone, Android, and the web when you sign in

Use Cases

  • Sorting a cluttered mental to-do list into one clear next task for the day
  • Working through the day's tasks one at a time in focus mode until each is finished
  • Moving an existing list from Apple Reminders or Google Tasks into a single prioritized view

From the founder

Who it's for

“People with too many things on their mind: students in exam season, freelancers juggling clients, anyone who opens a to-do list and doesn't know where to start.”

Why I built it

“I'm Gonzalo, a solo, self-funded developer from Argentina. Every to-do app I tried showed me 20 things and I'd freeze. So I built the opposite: you write everything down once and NOW shows you a single task for right now. No streaks, no points, no ads.”
— Gonzalo Chiaradia, founder of NOW

Who it is for

  • People who have too many things on their mind and don't know where to start
  • People whose day is already full and who need to focus on one thing at a time

Pricing

Free. NOW Plus is optional: USD 2.99/month, USD 14.99/year or USD 39.99 once.
