TheTextKit

About

The site offers 209 browser-based tools across analysis and counting, case and formatting, line and list operations, developer utilities, writing aids, text extraction, student calculators, and math and money tools. Each tool runs locally in the browser, so text you enter is not uploaded. Examples include a word counter that handles Chinese and Japanese, a readability checker using Flesch and Coleman-Liau scores, a regex tester that inspects capture groups, and a password generator built on cryptographically secure random values.

From the founder

Who it's for

“Developers, writers, marketers and students who need a quick text, code or math utility, like a word counter, case converter, JSON formatter or regex tester, but don’t want to paste private text into a site that uploads it to a server. Everything runs in your browser, so your text never leaves your device.”

Why I built it

“I built TheTextKit because every time I needed a small text, code or math tool, I ended up on a different site, and most of them wanted something in return: ads everywhere, signup walls, or my text uploaded to their server. For something as simple as counting words or formatting JSON, that never felt right. So I started building the tools myself, with one rule: everything runs in your browser. Your text never leaves your device, there’s no account, and it’s free. What began as a handful of utilities has grown to more than 209 tools in one place, and I’m still adding more.”

Quick browser test for the Launch Llama community step: the JSON formatter pretty-printed and minified a small object without changing its values. A missing value produced a clear error with line and column. No signup was needed for that test. Some text has encoding artifacts: the JSON Formatter browser title shows a garbled dash, and the related Code to Image icon shows a broken arrow. Fixing those would make the otherwise clear interface feel more polished.
