Fennla is a free calorie diary that runs inside Telegram. Send a photo of a meal or describe what you ate in everyday language; it returns an approximate calorie and macro breakdown, lets you correct portions, and saves the result to your daily diary.
It also supports barcode lookups, manual entries and optional calorie goals. The interface is available in English, Spanish, Russian, German, Norwegian, Arabic and Portuguese. Estimates are informational, not medical advice, and users can delete their stored data from Settings.

Is it free?
Yes. Right now it costs nothing: no account, no card, no trial timer. AI use has a daily limit per person, and a complex meal may need more than one AI step; manual logging does not use that limit. If the bot proves genuinely useful, we will look for a sustainable way to run it and explain any change before it happens.
What happens to my photos — and to what I type?
Your photo goes through Telegram and remains in your chat. Fennla downloads it only for analysis, sends it to Google's Gemini API, and stores neither the image nor its Telegram file reference. Typed meal descriptions go to Gemini too. We use the paid API, whose terms say this content is not used to train or improve Google's models; Google may keep temporary logs for abuse detection, security and legal obligations. PostHog receives event names, a pseudonymized token and limited properties such as language, acquisition source, action and input type — never the photo, free-form meal text or absolute nutrition values. Nothing is sold or sent to advertisers.
Can I set my own calorie goal?
Yes. Enter a daily target directly in the bot; if it is below 1,200 kcal, Fennla stores 1,200 as the minimum. The optional calculator processes your body data only on your device and sends Fennla just the final calorie and protein targets. It is an informational reference, not a recommendation or a promised pace.
Is this medical advice?
No. It is not a medical device, it does not diagnose anything, and it does not prescribe a number you must hit. The estimates are informational and yours to use as you see fit. If you are managing a health condition, pregnant, or your relationship with food and numbers has been difficult before, please speak to a doctor or a dietitian — and be careful with apps like this one, ours included.
Which languages does it work in?
Write to it in whatever language you like: the food understanding is not fussy, and the AI's replies come back in your language. The bot's own interface — buttons, menus, settings screens — is fully translated into seven languages: English, Russian, Spanish, German, Norwegian, Arabic and Portuguese. Pick yours in Settings; a language outside that list falls back to English.
