What this does not do

Sentiment is scored with a keyword/lexicon heuristic (positive/negative phrase matching plus basic negation handling) — not a paid NLP vendor or LLM call. Sarcasm, slang and niche jargon can be misread.
Only top-level comments are analyzed (up to 60), not nested replies.
Deleted and removed comments are excluded.
Reddit's public JSON endpoint can rate-limit or block automated requests intermittently — if a check fails, wait a minute and try again.

Why did my check fail?

Reddit's public JSON endpoint occasionally rate-limits automated requests. Wait a minute and try again — it usually clears quickly.

Can I check a private subreddit or deleted post?

No — only public threads with visible comments. Deleted and removed comments are automatically excluded from the count.
