About
Every launch guide says "submit to directories" without saying which ones accept your kind of product, what the form will ask, or what happens after you hit submit. SubmitMap is that missing map: 829 launch platforms and startup directories, each one a typed record rather than a link in a list. For every platform you get who it accepts, what disqualifies you, the exact submission steps in order, how long approval really takes, whether the backlink is dofollow (577 of them are), what submitting costs, and what turns up in your inbox afterwards. 695 of the 829 are free to submit to. 27 guides across 7 phases put the whole thing in order, from launch-ready checks to the paid channels worth opening last. Paste your URL into the free scan and it reads your landing page, works out what your product qualifies for, and hands back the run: which directories will take it, quick wins first, long review queues started early. Then there is the part that saves the afternoon. SubmitMap runs an MCP server, so the AI agent you already use (Claude Code, Cursor, ChatGPT) can plan the run, ask for the brief for one exact form, fill it in your browser and record the outcome on your dashboard. The brief is what a generic agent gets wrong: the fields this form asks for that your press kit does not have, the validation that fails silently, the honeypot, the badge some sites want on your homepage before the submit button unlocks. Browsing the whole directory is free and needs no account. Paid plans start at $9 a month and cover the agent side: the per-form briefs, more than one product, and the submission dashboard. Placements that were paid for say so on the page.

Founder story
I launched a small product, read the usual advice to submit it to directories, and lost a weekend to it. Half the sites I found were dead. Others took the submission and quietly never published it. A few wanted a badge on my homepage before the submit button would work at all, which nobody mentions until you are already in the form. I could not tell in advance which ones would even accept what I had built. So I started keeping notes: who accepts what, what disqualifies you, how long approval actually took, whether the link was dofollow, what showed up in my inbox afterwards. That file turned into SubmitMap. It is 829 platforms now, and every record exists because somebody walked the real form. The agent part came later, for a simple reason: filling the same thirty field form forty times is not work a person should be doing. An AI agent can do it, as long as it is told what this exact form wants. That is what a brief is.
Key Features
- 829 launch platforms and startup directories as typed records, not a link dump
- Free landing page scans that say what your product qualifies for, no account needed
- A brief for each form with the exact steps, required fields, gotchas and approval time
- An MCP server so your own AI agent can plan the run and fill the forms
Use Cases
- Run the free scan on your landing page to see which of the 829 directories accept your product
- Filter to the 695 platforms that are free to submit to, and the 577 that give a dofollow link
- Work a planned run in order: quick approvals first, long review queues started early
- Read what a form wants before you open it: required fields, assets, minimum domain rating, badge rules
- Hand the run to your AI agent over MCP and let it fill the forms in your browser
- Keep every submission, its status and its live listing URL on one dashboard instead of in your sent mail
- Follow the 7 phase guide route so you are launch ready before you spend a submission
- Skip the platforms that would reject you, and see the reason before you waste the slot
Pricing
Browsing all 829 platforms is free and needs no account. A free account covers 1 product and 5 submission briefs. Indie is $9 a month for 100 briefs a month, Studio is $15 a month for 3 products and uncapped briefs, and Unlimited is $29 a month, $190 a year, or $250 once.
Verdict
If you have ever had forty directory tabs open and no idea which ones would take your product, this is the tool that closes them. The directory itself is free to read and worth bookmarking on its own: 829 launch platforms and startup directories with the submission steps, the real approval time, the cost and whether the link is dofollow written down per platform instead of guessed. What you pay for is the brief an AI agent needs to fill one specific form correctly, and the dashboard that remembers what you already sent. Start with the free scan on your own URL: one paste, and it tells you how much of the map your product actually qualifies for.

Thanks for asking. It came out of my own launch. I sat down with a list of directories and found that no two of them ask for the same thing: a 60 character description here, a 1200x630 image there, three categories picked from a tree that does not have your category in it. I rewrote the same product into twenty slightly different shapes and then lost track of what I had sent where. So I started keeping notes: what each platform accepts, the steps in the order they actually happen, and what to have ready before opening the form. The notes turned out to be more useful than the launch was. That became SubmitMap: 205 platforms so far, every one walked by hand rather than scraped, and my own submissions logged in public, 107 of them including this one, which is what keeps the notes honest. The part I did not expect is how much of the work happens after the submit button, and that is most of what I write down now.
Hey, love seeing this here! 👋 What inspired you to build this? Would love to hear the story behind it.
