[discuss] When Should You Trust an AI Workflow, and When Should You Check It Manually?

One thing I find interesting about AI tools is that a workflow can work well most of the time but still make mistakes in unusual situations.
In medical billing, even a small error in information can create extra work later. At Avenue Billing Services, accuracy is an important consideration, which makes me curious about how businesses can use AI while keeping the right level of human review.
For those building AI workflows, how do you decide which steps can run automatically and which ones need human approval?
Do you use confidence thresholds, validation rules, manual reviews, or some combination of these? I’d be interested to hear how you balance speed with reliability.
