About

ViewMax exposes its generation models as an MCP server at a single streamable HTTP endpoint. Claude web and desktop connect through a custom connector with OAuth sign-in, while Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex use a Bearer API key. Generation runs as an asynchronous task: the agent calls generate_video or generate_speech, then uses get_task or wait_for_task to receive output video URLs once the job completes.

How do I add ViewMax MCP to Claude?

In Claude Desktop or claude.ai, go to Settings > Connectors > Add custom connector, name it ViewMax, paste https://viewmax.studio/api/mcp, then click Connect and sign in with your ViewMax account. In Claude Code, run: claude mcp add --transport http viewmax https://viewmax.studio/api/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY".

How is MCP generation billed?

Flagship image models on Pro/Ultra (GPT Image 2, Nano Banana 2, Grok Imagine) and ViewMax C1 on Ultra cost 0 credits within the shared daily fair-use pool, including via MCP and the REST API. Other generations consume credits from the ViewMax account associated with your API key. Model-specific pricing is available through the list_* and get_*_model tools before generation.

Where do I get an API key?

Create and manage API keys in Settings > API Keys. Keep your key private and only send it in the Authorization header.

Which models are supported?

ViewMax generates video, image, music, and audio. Available models, options, and pricing change over time — ask the matching list_* tool (for example list_video_models, list_image_models, or list_voices) for the current catalog.

How is my data handled?

Your API key authenticates requests to your own ViewMax account. Prompts and media are processed only to create and deliver the requested generation.
