About
Which car, rental or client is actually making you money? Money Actually is a budget and net worth tracker for people in the US that answers that too. Each one you add gets its own profit, break-even and year report, grouped the way Schedule C and E group them. Beside it are one left-to-spend number with paid and still-coming bills, the subscriptions found in your transactions, and a net worth with every debt counted, so the car loan sits next to the car. Most money apps flatter you. Money Actually reports, and it says when it cannot verify a number. Read-only, linking up to five US banks through Plaid, on web, iPhone and Android.

Key Features
- Profit, break-even and a year report for each car, rental or client, grouped the way Schedule C and E group them
- A budget as one left-to-spend number with paid and still-coming bills, plus subscriptions detected from your transactions
- Net worth with every debt counted: the car loan sits next to the car
- Reports rather than flatters: it says when it cannot verify a number
- Read-only with no transfer button anywhere, bank sign-in through Plaid, and no ads or data selling
- Slip, the in-app assistant, is AI only when you ask: nothing is sent unless you type a question, and you can turn it off
Use Cases
- See what a car on a car-sharing app such as Turo earned after its costs, and where it breaks even
- Check what each rental or freelance client earned this year, in a report grouped the way Schedule C and E group them
- Check one left-to-spend number before a purchase, with the bills already paid and the ones still coming counted
- Track net worth with every loan and card balance counted, so the car loan sits next to the car
- Find the recurring subscriptions in your transactions

- Car-sharing hosts with a car on an app such as Turo

FAQ
What does Money Actually show for a car, rental or client?
Each car, rental or client you add gets its own profit, break-even and year report, grouped the way Schedule C and E group them. It sits next to your budget and net worth, in the same app. It is a report, not tax or financial advice. See it with sample data: https://moneyactually.app/demo/business?ref=launchllama
Can I try it without signing up?
Yes. The demo runs on sample data with no signup and no bank link: https://moneyactually.app/demo?ref=launchllama. There is also a free car-sharing profit calculator: https://moneyactually.app/tools/car-sharing-profit?ref=launchllama
Can Money Actually move my money or see my bank password?
No to both. It is read-only and there is no transfer button anywhere, so it cannot move money. Bank sign-in runs through Plaid, so your bank password never reaches Money Actually's servers.
Which banks does it work with?
US banks only, through Plaid. You can link up to five banks, with every account at each one.
How is my data protected?
Data is encrypted with AES-256 at rest, and bank connection keys get a second AES-256-GCM layer. There are no ads and no data selling. You can delete everything from inside the app or on the web. Details: https://moneyactually.app/security?ref=launchllama. Questions: [email protected]
Does Money Actually send my data to AI?
Only if you type a question to Slip, the in-app assistant. Slip is AI only when you ask: nothing is sent unless you type a question, and you can turn Slip off. Budgets, net worth and the per-asset reports work with Slip turned off.
Is Money Actually a Mint alternative?
For US accounts, yes. It is a paid, read-only alternative to Mint, which has shut down. It covers budgets, net worth and subscriptions from your linked banks, plus a profit, break-even and year report for each car, rental or client. It runs on web, iPhone and Android, with a 7-day free trial and no card needed on the web.
Which platforms does it run on?
Web, iPhone and Android. iPhone: https://apps.apple.com/app/money-actually/id6813643415. Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=app.moneyactually.twa. Web: https://moneyactually.app/?ref=launchllama
