What this compares
The tool fetches each page and reports on the on-page signals that decide whether it ranks and how it converts. Every check is something you can act on the same day.
- Title tag and meta description, with length checked against what Google actually displays.
- H1 usage — missing, duplicated, or correctly used once.
- Structured data: which schema types are present, and whether there are any at all.
- Open Graph tags, which decide whether shared links render a card or a bare URL.
- Content depth, internal and external link counts, and images missing alt text.
- Mobile viewport, canonical URL and whether the page is even indexable.
- Detected tech stack — framework, analytics, payments and support tooling.
Why compare a competitor instead of just reading their page
Most of what makes a page rank is invisible when you look at it. Two landing pages can look identical while one has complete schema markup, a tuned title and 1,200 words of indexable copy, and the other has none of it.
Running a competitor through this tells you which of the two you are up against. If the page outranking you has no schema and a truncated title, the gap is not their SEO — it is their backlinks or their age, and you should spend accordingly.
Reading the side-by-side
Add your own URL in the second field and both pages run through the identical checks in the same order, so you can read straight down the column.
Look for rows where they pass and you do not. Those are the cheapest wins available to you, because they are fixes you control entirely and can ship this week — a missing meta description or absent schema markup is an afternoon of work, not a strategy.
What it cannot see
The tool reads the HTML the server returns. Content rendered by JavaScript after load will not be counted, so a heavily client-rendered page may show a low word count while looking full in a browser. That is worth knowing in itself, because search crawlers face the same problem.
It also cannot see backlinks, domain authority, traffic or rankings — the off-page factors that often decide who wins. Use this for the on-page half of the picture and a backlink tool for the rest.
What this does not do
- Reads the HTML the server returns. Content rendered by JavaScript after load is not counted, so a client-rendered page can show a low word count while looking full in a browser.
- Cannot see backlinks, domain authority, traffic or rankings — the off-page factors that often decide who outranks whom.
- The score is the share of checks passed. Use it to compare two pages, and read the individual rows for what to actually fix.
