About
Setup takes a URL and a plain-language description of what matters. BriefPanel proposes the records and fields to track, you confirm or correct them, then choose a cadence and which changes trigger alerts, such as new items, removals, price moves, or rewritten details. Each item keeps its identity across every check, so history reads as a timeline per product, job, or story rather than a diff of the whole page. The same typed feed is available through a REST API and MCP for internal systems and AI agents.

Key Features
- Delivers recognizes items and their fields on a pasted page from a plain-language description
- Delivers re-reads watched pages on your schedule and records each change as a structured event
- Keeps item-level history so the same product or job stays linked across checks
- Sends alerts for new items, removals, price moves, and rewritten details
- Delivers serves changes through a REST API and MCP for systems and AI agents
- Delivers shows before-and-after values for each changed field with its type
Use Cases
- Tracking competitor product prices and stock on e-commerce catalog pages, with alerts when a price moves
- Following regulatory proposals and compliance deadlines on public portals as a timeline of status changes
- Feeding structured page-change events into internal systems or AI agents through the REST API or MCP
From the founder
Who it's for
“Teams that watch other people's web pages for a living: competitive intelligence and pricing teams tracking rivals' plans and prices, e-commerce teams watching supplier stock, compliance teams following terms and policies, and developers watching API docs and changelogs.”
Why I built it
“I kept checking the same competitor and listing pages by hand. The monitors I tried told me a page had changed and handed me a noisy diff, so I still had to work out which product moved and what it was before. I wanted a tool that tracks each item on the page and says exactly which field changed, so I built Briefpanel.”
Who it is for
- Pricing and category operations teams watching supplier and competitor catalogs
- Compliance and policy teams tracking regulatory status and deadline changes
- Engineering teams and AI agent builders who need a typed change feed
Pricing
120 free credits with no card and no subscription. Each page read costs $0.010.
FAQ
What exactly is an item?
It's each thing you track on a page: a product and its price, a job posting, a tender, a plan. BriefPanel recognizes the same item on every check and keeps its history: when it appeared, what changed (for example, the price), and when it was removed. You don't pay per item; you pay per page read (see "How much does it cost?").
What is BriefPanel?
A service that watches public pages for you, such as a competitor's store listing. It splits the page into items (products, for example), tracks each one, and alerts you when something is added, changed, or removed, like a price change. You see each item's history instead of re-reading the whole page.
How does it work?
Paste the page URL, say what matters (for example, "price changes and new products"), and pick how often to check. BriefPanel reads the page and, when items have their own pages, reads those too. Each change goes into the item's history, and you get email or push alerts plus daily or weekly digests.
Does it work with any store or website?
It works with public pages that open without a login: stores and marketplaces, job boards, news, tenders, policies, and documentation. Some sites block automated access or ask for a login; when that happens, the app shows a notice on the source. Use the free credits to test the pages that matter to you.
How often are pages checked?
You choose per source: every 30 minutes, every hour, every 6 hours, or once a day. The default is every 6 hours. Each check uses credits, so save the fast cadences for pages where speed matters.
How much does it cost?
You pay only for usage, with no subscription or contract. 1 credit = 1 page read. A page whose items have no pages of their own costs 1 credit per check; when they do, the check reads more pages and costs more, up to a fixed limit. Credits come in packs of 1,000 for $10.00. If you run out, monitoring pauses and resumes on its own when you top up.
Can I try it for free? Do I need a card?
Yes, and no card is needed. You start with 20 free credits and get 100 more when you confirm your email, 120 in total. You only pay if you decide to buy more credits.
