About
Most people live in a stack of single-purpose apps. Apical replaces it: tasks, calendar, notes, email, groceries, wellness, weather and news sit in one app, and Home opens on today, so your day starts in one place instead of five icons.
The planner handles recurring schedules, reminders, subtasks, tags and categories, and puts your Gmail or Outlook calendar in the same day view. Notes take typing or handwriting, with folders. Email connects Gmail, Outlook, iCloud and IMAP with conversation threading, rules, attachments and scheduled send. Wellness reads steps, workouts, water, calories, weight and heart data through Apple Health, and Serenity adds sleep sounds and a sleep tracker. An alarm clock sits on Home and in the Planner.
AI only runs when you ask: a scheduler that turns a sentence into tasks and events you add with a tap, a summary of the emails you pick (up to eight at a time) with the actions and events in them, meal and fitness planning, and a recipe scanner that reads a photo so you can pick the ingredients for your grocery list.
Free to start, with no account required. Two optional subscriptions add more when you want it. iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and the web, in 18 languages.
Competitors: Notion, Todoist, Asana

Founder story
I double-booked myself. A task lived in one app, a meeting in another, and nothing held both. So I built Apical: tasks, appointments and my Gmail and Outlook calendars in one day view, then the things I kept switching apps for, like notes, mail, groceries and the weather. I am one person building it for iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and the web. If something annoys you, I would rather hear that than what you like.
