# Launch Llama API & MCP

Search the Launch Llama catalog, audit a site before it launches, plan directory campaigns, and run founder ops (analytics, badge, changelog) — from an agent or from curl. MCP and REST share the same tools; signed-in site chat calls them too.

## Important for Claude.ai / ChatGPT / Gemini

Launch Llama is **not** in the Claude.ai connectors / MCP registry. That registry only lists Anthropic-partnered connectors.

To use Launch Llama from an AI assistant:

1. **Claude Code:** `claude mcp add --transport http launchllama https://kxdushqmihjyuddcwkpw.supabase.co/functions/v1/api-mcp`
2. **Claude Desktop / Cursor:** add Streamable HTTP MCP URL `https://kxdushqmihjyuddcwkpw.supabase.co/functions/v1/api-mcp`
3. **Any agent without MCP:** call REST at `https://kxdushqmihjyuddcwkpw.supabase.co/functions/v1/api-v1` — **no API key** for search, readiness, or draft creation
4. Prefer fetching this file, `https://tools.launchllama.co/llms.txt`, or OpenAPI over guessing from the SPA

Agents **never publish**. Founders finish at /submit (account required).

- `search_products` — GET `/products` (None): Keyword search with optional category, type, and period filters.
- `get_top_products` — GET `/products/top` (None): Top N listings by upvotes — no keyword required.
- `list_categories` — GET `/categories` (None): Distinct category labels for filter discovery.
- `get_product` — GET `/products/{slug}` (None): The full listing for one product.
- `list_launch_directories` — GET `/launch-directories` (None): Vetted directory submission catalog (~610) with filters.
- `plan_directory_campaign` — POST `/directory-campaign/plan` (None): Week-by-week Free→Freemium→Paid directory plan.
- `check_launch_readiness` — GET `/launch-readiness` (None): Preflight audit: duplicates, badge, listing quality, next free weeks.
- `get_badge_snippet` — GET `/badge` (None): HTML + markdown badge snippets.
- `verify_badge` — POST `/badge/verify` (None (JWT to persist)): Scrape badge; with JWT + ownership sets badge_added.
- `get_newsletter_ad_options` — GET `/newsletter-ads` (None): Newsletter ad packages + checkout deep links (no Stripe session).
- `get_first_users_report` — POST `/first-users` (None (JWT for tool_id)): First Users ICP report from homepage scrape + AI.
- `submit_product` — POST `/submissions` (None (draft) · X-Partner-Key (publish)): Open a draft, or partner-publish a live listing with /submit fields (skips badge/upvote gates).
- `get_submission` — GET `/submissions/{id}` (UUID secret): Fetch a draft you already created (resume in the browser).
- `get_my_launches` — GET `/me/launches` (Bearer JWT): Owned launches with status, badge, go_live, weekly rank.
- `get_launch_analytics` — GET `/me/launches/{id}/analytics` (Bearer JWT): Owner analytics: impressions, clicks, outbound, newsletter opens.
- `get_directory_campaign_status` — GET `/me/launches/{id}/directory-campaign` (Bearer JWT): Directory order + submission results for an owned tool.
- `advise_growth` — GET `/me/launches/{id}/advise-growth` (Bearer JWT): Structured growth advice: quality, badge, plan, ads, Featured.
- `publish_changelog` — POST `/me/launches/{id}/changelog` (Bearer JWT): Append a published changelog entry on the product page.

## Partner publish (directories)

Trusted directories can publish listings **live** with an issued `X-Partner-Key`. MCP cannot publish.

Requirements: `publish: true` + founder `email` + `marketing_consent: true` + `X-Partner-Key` header. Skips free badge/upvote gates. Keep the key on your server — never in a browser or public repo.
